VIP Matchdays, a leading provider of premium sports hospitality experiences, is marking its tenth anniversary by launching a significant new initiative: the VIP Matchdays 10 Club Pledge.

The company will provide support to ten different grassroots or community sports clubs across the East Yorkshire region. The initiative is designed to give back to the sporting community that has supported the business since its inception a decade ago.
Investment will focus on local clubs, which VIP Matchdays recognises as vital hubs for developing the next generation of sporting stars and fostering crucial community spirit.
“Reaching our 10th birthday is an incredible milestone, and we wanted to celebrate it by investing directly into the future of sport in East Yorkshire,” said Laura Miller, Managing Director at VIP Matchdays.
“For ten years, our success has been tied to the passion of the local sports community. The 10 Club Pledge allows us to support the foundations of sport in the region, ensuring these vital hubs have the resources needed to continue their incredible work developing young talent and providing opportunities for participation, regardless of age or ability.”
First three clubs confirmed
VIP Matchdays is proud to announce the first three clubs joining the Pledge, representing the high standard and diversity of sports in the area:
- Goole Vikings: Highlighted for becoming East Yorkshire’s first professional Rugby League club, with strong community ties, moving into the Betfred Championship in 2026.
- Cottingham Tigers: Recognised for their commitment to inclusive Rugby League participation, with VIP Matchdays extending support to both their Men’s and Ladies Masters teams.
- West Hull ARLFC: Founded by Johnny Whiteley MBE, West Hull are a highly successful amateur Rugby League club with a large youth setup and a history of nurturing talent, including former Super League Man of Steel, Mikey Lewis.
The support provided through the Pledge is crucial for community clubs, addressing requirements such as equipment, facility upgrades, and coaching development.
Application process now open
The initiative is seeking the remaining seven community sports clubs to join the 10 Club Pledge. Clubs of all sports, ages (junior, open age, or masters), and genders in and around the East Yorkshire area are strongly encouraged to apply.
Laura Miller added: “We are delighted to have signed up our first three clubs. We now urge any grassroots club in the region to fill out the quick online application form. We are excited to complete the line-up of ten teams involved in this initiative.”
