A concert starring All for One Choir, G Choir Gospel Choir and Sam Atkinson.
Enjoy a selection of contemporary pop, rock, soul & gospel songs in a concert featuring the awe inspiring East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire based All For One Choir plus the G Choir as featured on Songs of Praise. Added to this we also have a performance from Hull singer Samantha Atkinson who famously competed in the X Factor during 2016.
All For One Choir was founded in 2011 by well known local musician and vocalist Helen Garnett (As seen on Britains Got Talent’s The Garnett Family). They are a non audition choir who sing pop rock soul and gospel and their numbers in East Yorkshire currently total around 350.
AFO have performed with many celebrities such as Leona Lewis, Steve Harley, award winning classical groups Blake and G4 , Russell Watson Wayne Woodward, The Commitments, The Glasgow Philharmonic and Bazil Meade to name a few. The choir have toured internationally with countries including France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Italy and Ireland and have appeared on TV both here and abroad. The choir were also thrilled to take part in the pilot of the prime time BBC 1 TV show All Together Now with 25 of their members being scouted for the show. Their director Helen Garnett also featured as one of the TV judges on the show.
G Choir formed by Helen Garnett are a gospel choir that has had quite an impact on East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. With a stunning range of vocals and sounds, the Songs Of Praise finalists 2019 is one choir you will never be able to forget. Their amazing sound and unified purpose allow G Choir to perform a variety of songs both Gospel and inspirational soul stirring songs. The G Choir has performed for BBC Verve festival and the choir has been booked to perform at the internationally renowned gospel festival in Rajadell, Barcelona. This gospel choir is one choir you will never be able to forget.
Samantha Atkinson has been performing locally for a number of years and has also appeared on television regularly including the 2016 X Factor and when finishing third in the karaoke world championships in 2018. She always loves to lend her vocal chords to help a charity and do her part.
Chris Warkup who has organised the event is looking forward to this concert. “A similar event was originally arranged with these choirs for March 2020 so we are so delighted that the All For One Choir, G Choir and Sam Atkinson are happy to perform for Sight Support HEY two years on. This should be fantastic show as the AFO choir have a massive reputation from their shows over the past decade, the G Choir performed in a national gospel choir competition on BBC 1 and Sam’s talents were highlighted in the X Factor and karaoke World championships. It will be a fantastic show raising money for local people with sight loss or visual impairments.”
