Woodsmoke are a folk duo from the East Riding of Yorkshire. Matt Foster (guitar, vocals) and James Noguera (vocals, percussion) have been on the Hull music scene for over 20 years.
‘Back to Nature’ was released in the early 2000s on a limited CD run and now gets a full digital reissue through IO Music Group.

Woodsmoke are well known for their amazing vocal harmonies. The Beatles along with Americana influences such as Neil Young, Simon & Garfunkel, Glen Campbell and Don McLean provide an indication of their sound.
Speaking on the IO Music Group podcast, James and Matt said: “‘We wanted this to be a stripped back recording, which is why we named the E.P. ‘Back to Nature’. We were massively influenced by Americana and by our parents’ music influences, they had such an impact on us.”
