Yorkshire-based strategic digital creative agency Sowden & Sowden has appointed Louise Scott as Head of Client Services in a major senior hire for the business as it continues to scale its strategic, creative and client leadership offering.

The newly created role reflects a significant investment in the agency’s next phase of growth, with Louise joining following more than 13 years agency-side experience leading integrated marketing, strategic communications and large client services teams across a range of complex national accounts.
Louise joins Sowdens from a nationally recognised agency where she progressed into senior leadership, ultimately serving as Group Account Director. During her career, she has led multi-disciplinary teams, managed combined client budgets exceeding £2 million and worked with organisations including The Crown Estate, Legal & General, Leeds City Council and Hudson Advisors.
The appointment comes during a period of sustained growth for Sowdens, with the agency continuing to expand its strategic, creative and digital offering across national and international accounts.
Current clients include Quickline, NEC Software Solutions, City Health Care Partnership CIC, Hull York Medical School and Ørsted, reflecting the agency’s growing presence across broadband, healthcare, software, education and green energy.
The agency has built a reputation for long-term client partnerships, including more than 11 years with Hull York Medical School, nine years with City Health Care Partnership CIC and seven years with Ørsted.
Alongside its long-standing client relationships, the agency has continued to secure major new projects during Q1 2026, including a long-term strategic communications and creative partnership with Kendal College following a competitive tender process, strategic creative and communications work for Capel Manor College, and the launch of new luxury fragrance brand, Scented Blends.
Polly Sowden, Owner, Creative Lead and Director at Sowden & Sowden, said: “As we approach our 44th year in business, this is one of the most significant senior appointments we’ve made as an agency.
“We’re operating in a very different space now to where the business was even a few years ago. We’re partnering with larger organisations, more ambitious campaigns and increasingly commercially focused growth strategies for clients across multiple sectors.
“Louise brings the strategic client leadership experience needed to support that next stage of growth. She understands how to lead complex accounts, build commercially focused partnerships and align strategy, creative and delivery around clear business objectives.
“Client retention remains incredibly important to us, but so does helping brands evolve. Whether that’s supporting major repositioning projects, integrated campaigns or taking brands to TV, we need to enhance the senior leadership around the agency that reflects those ambitions.”
In her new role, Louise will lead Sowdens’ client services function, overseeing strategic delivery, account development and integrated project management across the agency’s growing portfolio.
“What excited me about Sowdens was the opportunity and the trajectory of the agency,” said Louise.
“The business has built an impressive client portfolio across sectors undergoing significant change and investment, and there’s clear momentum behind both the agency and its clients.
“The opportunity to help shape strategically led work that delivers measurable commercial impact was a huge draw for me. There’s a strong balance between creativity, strategic thinking and ambitious growth plans, which makes it a very exciting time to join the business.
“Clients increasingly expect agencies to think beyond delivery and operate as strategic partners. That commercial focus and forward-thinking mindset is already very evident across the agency.”
The appointment forms part of wider investment plans for the East Yorkshire agency as it continues to strengthen its strategic, creative and digital capabilities across regional, national and international accounts.
