Acid Klaus + Wet Man + Azyys at The New Adelphi Club

Anyone lucky enough to attend BDRRM’s ace Xmas party will have witnessed ACID KLAUS not only take the roof off the place (then kindly put it back) but also have an almost psychic ability to make everyone lose control of their legs (and minds) and for that reason and that reason alone we are proud to invite the Acid Klaus live collective back to The Adelphi to kick start the summer to headline and curate an evening of fun, weird and eccentric electronic pop – but not as you know it!

For those not in the know, Acid Klaus is the new electronic weird pop project of songwriter/ producer/ artist/ dj and agitator – Mr Adrian Flanagan, the man behind many of the north of Englands finest trailblazing groups of the past decade from the electro psychedelic glam rock of The Moonlandingz – to the Radiophonic avant garde of The Eccentronic Research Council and much more.

He’s worked with everyone from members of Fat white Family, actress Maxine Peake, Sean Lennon & Yoko Ono, Phil Oakey from the Human League & even stood in on guitar for the late great Mark E Smith when he was a kid living in Salford. More impressively he has worked with the actual Cowboy from The Village People. Beat that!

Also on the Bill, a pal of Acid Klaus from Sheffield – WET MAN who will be bringing his charming dour sarcastic DIY Post Punk Electro to Hull for the very first time for a very northern foxtrot across the dancefloor.

Playing records in between the live music will be Adrian Acid Klaus’s DJ collective OUTERNATIONAL YORKSHIRE. Their party’s are legendary playing wayward dance music from across the globe from Italo Disco to Dutch Gabba – to Turk funk – Afrobeat to Middle Eastern techno – to novelty cover versions of many languages and beyond the beyond.
