Daytime clubbing is the latest trend sweeping the nation and it’s coming to one of Hull’s most popular venues, Asylum, this May Bank Holiday weekend.
Imagine sunshine, good vibes, and the unmistakable sound of the ‘70s, ‘80s and ‘90s filling the air.
Forget the midnight madness, it is all about the afternoon shenanigans as Asylum becomes a daytime disco haven where you can let loose and relive the classics on Sunday 5 May from 3pm-9pm.
Asylum’s Entertainments Manager, Claire Balfour, said: “We are always looking for ways to enhance our entertainments offering at Asylum and our recently refurbished venue is the perfect, fully accessible space for a daytime disco.
“Aimed at everyone aged 30 and over, a daytime disco brings all the fun of a clubbing experience but with the added bonus of arriving and leaving the venue in daylight to return home or continue the party elsewhere.
“So, get ready to trade your daytime coffee for some retro beats because daytime disco is about to take over Asylum and you won’t want to miss this unique new clubbing experience.”
Asylum, located at Student Central, on the University of Hull campus, was recently rated a top 5 stars by Licensing SAVI – a government-backed safety scheme that seeks to improve the safety of staff and customers in bars, pubs, clubs, restaurants, hotels, theatres and sporting clubs.
In summer 2023 the venue underwent a major refurbishment, designed by one of the UK’s leading nightclub design companies, which saw the creation of a new, fully accessible dance floor, a refurbished bar, upgraded lighting and feature wall murals.
