Hit show ‘Beverley Does Broadway’ from East Yorkshire acclaimed company She Productions is returning to the East Riding Theatre this August, as well as, for the first time, two nights of shows at Junction, Goole, with a brand new song-list, story-line and cast. Original cast members Annie Kirkman and Alice Rose Palmer are joined by Beverley actors Caitlin Townend and Jo Patmore to bring a touch of New York show glamour to East Yorkshire.
Frequently a favourite amongst East Riding Theatre-goers, this year the show features classics such as ‘Maybe This Time’ from Cabaret and ‘Seasons of Love’ from RENT, as well as newer songs from brilliant musicals including Dear Evan Hansen and Tick Tick Boom! Expect laughs, singalongs and a musical spectacular for the whole family to enjoy.
Cast member and director of She Productions, Annie Kirkman, said: “We are delighted to not only bring back a revamped version of the show, but to share its magic with more people across the East Riding. As well as being a great night of entertainment, ‘Beverley Does Broadway’ is a fundraiser towards our affordable family Christmas production. This year’s new production can be enjoyed by longtime ‘Beverley Does Broadway’ fans as well as those new to the series, and, with a wide selection of curtain-raiser acts from local dance and drama schools, the show is certain to inspire a younger generation alongside regular theatregoers.
