Brain Jar’s Mathew Smith named Diageo World Class GB Finalist

Diageo World Class GB has announced its final top 10, which includes Mathew Smith representing The Brain Jar and Hull in the regional finals.

Mathew advanced to the final stage with his cocktail The Zen Garden, which included Seedlip Grove 42, Clarified Shiso & Sakura Cordial and Schweppes Pink Soda.

Mathew is in great company in the top 10, as it includes exceptional bartenders from Birmingham, London, Leeds and across the UK. The finalists will be selected to attend a three-day immersive event in London or Scotland, culminating in the crowning of one winner. The winner will then represent Great Britain on the global stage in Toronto in September, offering them the opportunity to achieve international acclaim.

Prizes for the overall winner include all-expenses-paid trips to Toronto and New York City, VIP entry to two of the best sporting events in the country, VIP entry to two coveted music events, and a two-year talent representation with Global Bartending.
