Bright future for Dove House Hospice with North Point relocation

Hull-based charity, Dove House Hospice, is set to strengthen its fundraising capabilities after signing a six-year lease on larger facilities at North Point Shopping Centre, a move that will enable the charity to ramp up its support for local people.

The move will see Dove House Hospice relocate from its former premises to a 1,804 sq ft retail space at North Point Shopping Centre, complete with a larger sales area and extra storage for donations.

The new unit, which faces directly onto the car park, is situated between Wilko, Home Bargains and Victory Amusements, and gives the charity 500 additional sq ft compared with its former premises.

Designed to boost the charity’s support for the local community, the relocation will enable Dove House Hospice to continue its work to provide care for people within the local community with life limiting illnesses.

A spokesperson for Dove House Hospice commented: “Since opening our store in North Point many years ago, the support from local people has been amazing. We felt the time was right to relocate into this fabulous large store, and we haven’t been disappointed. The reaction has been very positive. All the profits from this and all our other shops go directly into supporting the work of the Hospice, so every purchase made makes such a difference.”

A spokesperson for North Point Shopping Centre commented: “We have worked closely with Dove House Hospice to support them with a new lease arrangement at North Point that provides a larger area for storage and sales. The charity provides invaluable support to the local community, and its retail space is a vital part of its fundraising efforts. The future of the charity is reliant on local support and we are very proud that North Point continues to play a small part in the future success of Dove House Hospice.”
