Hang out the bunting and fly the flags for the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra as they head to Hull New Theatre with a musical celebration like no other.
Pomp and Circumstance will be in full effect when the world-renowned orchestra performs Last Night of the Proms on 30 September, 2021.
This rousing classical extravaganza conducted by Stephen Bell features the best of British music including flag-waving favourites like Jerusalem and Land of Hope and Glory and comes ahead of the much anticipated return of the Hull City Hall Classics Season.
Plus, soprano Gemma Summerfield performs highlights from operas such as Gianni Schicchi and Guiditta, alongside timeless orchestral classics like Saint-Saëns’ Danse Macabre and Brahms’ Hungarian Dance No.5.
Ticket holders will also have the chance hear more about music featured during the evening at a Pre-concert talk with Dr Simon Desbruslais, who is a lecturer in Music at the School of Drama, Music and Screen at the University of Hull.
Full details of the 2021-22 Classics Season will be released soon.
