Compendium Living collects over 100 items for Hull food banks with local contractors donating generously

Compendium Living is proud to announce the success of its recent community food drive, collecting over 100 essential food items for local Hull food banks. In addition to the food donations, local contractors working alongside Compendium Living have generously contributed financial support to further aid the city’s vulnerable residents.

The food drive, initiated by Compendium Living, alongside its construction partner Lovell, saw enthusiastic participation from employees, contractors, and local partners. Items collected included long-life essentials such as pasta, rice, tinned goods, and cereals, all of which are in high demand by local food banks.

Robert Adams, Regional Managing Director, commented on the success of the initiative, stating:

“The rising cost of living is impacting so many in our community, and we felt it was important to step up and do what we can to support our local food banks. We are overwhelmed by the generosity of our team and contractors who not only donated food but also raised vital funds to help those in need.”

Alongside the food donations, local contractor, O’Donnell Civil Engineering, who currently work on the Compendium Living development, The Leeway, donated £100 towards food items, further amplifying the initiative’s impact.

This collection was hosted as part of National Food Bank Day. National Food Bank Day, observed on the first Friday of September, highlights the critical role that food banks play in supporting communities.  The collected items have been donated to the EMS Centre in Hull, which is experiencing unprecedented demand.

As a developer with a strong commitment to community engagement, Compendium Living regularly supports local initiatives in Hull. This latest drive forms part of the company’s broader mission to contribute to the well-being of the communities in which it operates, from affordable housing development to direct aid.

The first three phases of The Leeway development have reinvigorated the Ings area of East Hull with beautiful, modern living spaces and a real sense of community.
