The brand, who was also this year named as one of the fastest growing tech companies, scored highly in the Great Place to Work survey, which was carried out amongst staff and gives the opportunity to honestly and anonymously answer questions about your place of work.
The news comes following the company making three acquisitions in just 18 months and experiencing an exponential 50% growth in the number of employees over the last 12 months, driven by the company’s recent success.
Four in five employees confirmed Connexin is a great place to work with an impressive 84% (21 of 25) of the focus areas scoring 70% or higher, paying testament to the company which has always said its people are at the heart of everything it does.
The top scoring individual questions represented the company’s focus on people, culture, diversity and inclusivity. Over 80% of those surveyed at Connexin agreed that the company promotes and welcomes a diverse workforce across the business, while 82% of staff who completed the survey felt that they could be themselves and have the support of their colleagues.
The survey, which is carried out by the global company of the same name and has surveyed over 10 million employees worldwide, covers topics such as integrity, engagement and communication, camaraderie, and pride.
Tracy Hemming-Tayler, VP of People and Culture, said of the results: “We are absolutely thrilled to receive the official certification as a Great Place to Work! This accomplishment reflects our tireless dedication and commitment to creating a workplace that stands out. This culture is rapidly becoming our not-so-secret reason for attracting high calibre candidates near and far.”
Focusing on innovation and improving how people live, Connexin’s products are built with their people led culture in mind; offering top of the range parental controls, building smart solutions for local councils to create more efficient public services and providing digital training through its academy to upskill the nations workforce.
Connexin was founded in 2006 and subsequently named the 16th Fastest Growing Technology company at the Northern Tech Awards in April 2023. It says it wants to ‘continue pushing boundaries of ISP tech and continue to keep people at the heart of their culture and products’.
CEO Furqan Alamgir said: “Growing at the pace we have, it is so easy for companies to normalise and accept work frustrations as growth pain, but we are the unique company that has achieved the growth without the pain.
“We pride ourselves on having cultural principles across all areas of the business, both internally and externally with a big focus on giving back to local communities. Most recently we have implemented a range of initiatives including competitions with local schools and raising funds for local charities through the ‘Connexin Cares’ scheme.
“Every team member has a vital part to play at Connexin, and I am immensely proud of our people for keeping the same great culture as we did when we only had only 10 employees not so long ago.”
