Cottingham’s Tiger Inn has won the award for Best Compliance at Craft Union Pub Company’s Operator Awards 2022.
Jason Herringshaw, the former Operator of the Tiger Inn, took a very positive and proactive approach to implementing and managing the day-to-day safety practices in the pub when under his operation. This resulted in him being able to operate a safe business, achieving great success and exceeding expectations. After having great success at the Tiger Inn, Jason has now moved into the role of a Craft Union Regional Manager, where he is overseeing pubs within the area of North East England.
Jason said: “I am so pleased to have won the award for best compliance at the Tiger Inn. During my time operating the pub, the team and I put in lots of hard work to make it what it is today and to make a wonderful space for all in the local community to come together. We would not have been able to receive the results we have without the support of our customers and the Craft Union team. Whilst the Tiger Inn means so much to me, I am excited to have grown within the Craft Union family and taken on the role of a Regional Manager.”
The Operator Awards recognise the best of the best across the company and celebrate the hard work of Operators carried out over the last year across all of its sites. The winners spanned ten categories from best sales to pub of the year. All the winners celebrated alongside one another and with senior members of Stonegate Group, including Ian Payne, MBE, Chairman of Stonegate Group and Frazer Grimbleby, Craft Union Operation Director.
Nick Andrews, Managing Director of Stonegate Pub Partners, said: “Congratulations to all of our Operators who won awards at this year’s Operator Awards, you should be very proud of all of your efforts and hard work. Our Operators work so hard in making their pubs brilliant and doing all they can to be involved with their communities, it is great to see the Craft Union philosophy being displayed. We do our utmost to support all involved with Craft Union from running a successful local business to personal development. As our teams grow, we are excited to see all the amazing work that will be carried out at our pubs across the country.”
