Final preparations are underway for Pride in Hull 2026 which this year promises to be bigger and better than ever as they celebrate a 25th anniversary.
For a quarter of a century a Pride in Hull has brought together LGBTQ+ people, allies, families, friends, community groups, charities, and businesses to celebrate diversity, inclusion, equality, and love.
Now to mark this historic milestone Pride in Hull 2026 promises to be their biggest and most powerful event to date.
Pride in Hull Chair Andy Train said: “This year’s celebration promises to be our most powerful yet, honouring the journey so far while looking ahead to a future built on equality, visibility, and pride.
We are excited to deliver an unforgettable programme that reflects the spirit and strength of our community at a time when it’s needed more than ever.
“It’s thrilling to see how many other pride fringe events are planned for everyone to enjoy!”
Taking place across Hull City Centre and beyond on Saturday 25th July Pride in Hull 2026 will feature a packed programme of performances from the likes of Steps star Claire Richards, pop duo The Cheeky Girls, and nostalgic pop group Fast Food Rockers.
The main stage, in Zebedee’s Yard, will also feature a performance from Ru Paul’s Drag Race winner (Season 5) Ginger Johnson plus sets from Coco, Miss Fanny, Sheila Diamond, Kerry Ellis, Xtina Live and Zara.
With community being at the heart of Pride, audiences will also get to enjoy main stage performances from Hessle Theatre Company, State of the Arts Academy and the NHS Choir.
The balcony of Hull City Hall will be taken over with live DJ sets, whilst pop-up dance performances and giant chess will be happening at the rosebowl, Queen’s Gardens.
A community market, featuring over 40 vendors, will take over King Edward Street and Paragon Street, whilst Queen Victoria Square will shine the spotlight on local businesses, organisations and support groups.
Ferens Art Gallery will be home to the Pride in Hull family area where you will be entertained by Jeddy Bear and Gary, and AB Dance School, be able to learn circus skills with Tiny Circus and join a Sax Rave from 12-4pm.
The event starts with the Pride Parade which departs Wellington Street at 11am (registration opens at 8.30am) and ends at King Edward Square. Live acts and entertainment will take place from 12noon-6pm.
Speaking about the Pride Parade Andy added: “March through the heart of Hull alongside thousands of proud participants, waving flags, sharing stories, and creating unforgettable memories.
“Whether you’re representing an organisation, supporting a loved one, or simply celebrating who you are, everyone is welcome to join this vibrant display of unity, visibility, and pride.”
Quiet spaces will also be available on the day at Blossoms in Princes Quay, Safe Space Hull on Prince Street, Ferens Art Gallery (upstairs), and with the Eclectic Orchestra at Maister House on the High Street.
