East Yorkshire creative agency Sowden & Sowden adds to growing team after major client wins

Hessle-based creative marketing agency Sowden & Sowden continues its growth trajectory with the appointment of two new team members – bolstering its digital and social offering after a string of client wins and contract renewals.

Yasmin Brown has joined as Paid Digital Manager, bringing more than eight years of experience running high-performing paid media campaigns. Yasmin previously held manager level roles at Hull-based agencies Green Ginger and Summit, where she led activity for major national brands including Argos, Joules, and The Range.

At Sowdens, she is responsible for the strategic setup, optimisation and reporting of digital campaigns across platforms such as Google, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and Snapchat – ensuring performance, ROI and insight are at the heart of every brief.

Also strengthening the team is Sam Tasker, who recently celebrated one year at the agency as Senior Marketing Executive. After joining from an in-house role managing the marketing output for the John Roe Group (Toyota and Lexus), Sam has brought a dynamic and creative edge to Sowden & Sowden’s output – working across multiple disciplines including content creation, organic social & influencer strategies, SEO, and account & event management.

One of Sam’s main focuses is developing and delivering organic social strategies across all major platforms – including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube – for both Sowden & Sowden and its clients. Beyond social media, Sam also plays a key role in wider marketing and campaign delivery for Sowden’s clients. His contribution on some of the agency’s influencer strategies has driven standout results – in just the first three months, organic digital activity surpassed 14 million views, with four pieces of viral content and a total reach of over 2 million individual accounts for a major national resin bound client. It’s a testament to his strategic instincts, creative flair, and ability to turn ideas into impact.

The appointments come as Sowden & Sowden celebrates securing Google Partner status, recognising the agency’s proven track record in delivering high-quality campaign performance, meeting certification benchmarks, and helping clients achieve digital growth. The agency also recently became an official Living Wage Employer, underscoring its commitment to supporting and valuing its people.

Commenting on the latest hires, Director Polly Sowden said:

“We’ve seen strong, sustained growth over the past 12 months, with 10 new client wins and ongoing projects expanding in scope. Acquiring the right talent is the most important key to continued growth. Hiring was – and still is – one of the most important things we do. By investing in people like Yas and Sam, we’re strengthening the team behind every campaign – bringing together strategic thinking and creativity in everything we deliver.”

Yasmin said:

“Sowdens is completely different to any agency I’ve worked at. With everything under one roof, it’s faster, more collaborative, and creatively joined-up – and the culture really does feel like a family.”

Sam added:

“Agency life has been a huge step change for me, but one I’ve absolutely loved. The creative freedom here means no two days are the same – whether I’m working on strategy, getting hands-on with influencer shoots, or helping pitch big ideas that land.”

With more than four decades of experience, Sowden & Sowden continues to deliver integrated, results-driven campaigns for clients locally and nationally – combining insight-led strategy with bold creative to make brands stand out.

The agency was recently given a STRONG rating in the latest Plimsoll report, positioning Sowdens as a leading player in the digital marketing industry. The rating reflects financial health, market valuation, and resilience – an important recognition during a time of uncertainty in the sector.

Sowdens also ranked in the top 40% of £1M+ agencies in the 2025 BenchPress report by The Wow Company, performing well in key areas such as remuneration, team engagement, time tracking, and profitability – a clear sign the agency is balancing creative ambition with operational performance.
