On Friday 4 March, Primarytech will be hosting a free school IT conference: Reimagining The Role of Technology in Education, set to inspire educators across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, transforming the way they teach through the use of technology.
The conference will be held at the Village Hotel, Hessle, featuring speakers from industry leaders Google and Microsoft.
Due to the detrimental effects of COVID-19, schools were forced to rely heavily on the use of technology to continue educating their pupils. Many schools were not prepared for this sudden change which resulted in the need for additional IT support.
Whilst technology is an integral part of teaching and learning, the government’s Education Technology Survey 2020 – 2021 found that 68% of teachers said they were not comfortable or confident with online learning platforms or technology. Following this, 64% of teachers say skills and confidence are barriers to the uptake of technology for teaching.
PrimaryTech’s mission is to enable educators to adapt and thrive in the ever-changing digital landscape to unlock the potential that technology brings to all. As an approach to addressing this mission, PrimaryTech is hosting a free school IT conference: Reimagining The Role of Technology in Education.
The conference will bring together educators to inspire the use, and share the possibilities, of technology within education, showcasing innovative applications within teaching and learning. Educators will be able to discover more about how they can align technology to their desired outcomes whilst reducing costs and keeping their schools safe and compliant.
The conference will hold speakers from industry leaders such as Google and Microsoft, alongside Phil Bagge Hampshire Computing Inspector and primary school teacher who will be sharing his method to help schools plan and prepare for Ofsted and computing.
Educators will also have the opportunity to connect with trusted technology experts including exhibitors from Securly, Clevertouch, Evoke Technologies, Rodocodo, River and Sharp Copiers, alongside education specialists.
PrimaryTech will be holding a raffle that gives schools two opportunities to win top prizes including two sets of 16 class devices with storage.
