Get stuck into 2023 through volunteering

A charity that champions volunteering is encouraging people seeking self-improvement to make it their resolution in 2023 to follow their new blog.

Time2Volunteer will post weekly, giving people interested in volunteering a series of chances to develop their skills and to generally give back.

The organisation, which is managed by HEY Smile Foundation and Hull CVS, offers a matchmaking service between volunteers and organisations looking for help.

Ellie Goodyear, Volunteer Project Manager, said: “Every week, we will be encouraging people to get stuck into volunteering. Our January blog will offer practical help to get started.

“There will be courses, chances to train to become a trustee at a charity, and ideas about taking action to tackle common concerns, as well as volunteering opportunities in many fields and locations.

“Volunteering is a great way to try something new and meet people. It really can improve your wellbeing and open doors. We will be highlighting so many opportunities, it is a chance for people to fulfil the feeling many share at New Year of wanting to do something good for themselves and their community.”
