Supporters of Hull Truck Theatre are once again invited to spread a little Christmas magic in 2026 through their annual fundraising campaign, Give the Gift of Theatre.

The campaign raises vital money to make gifted and subsidised tickets accessible for people experiencing hardship across Hull. The theatre relies on your support to welcome everyone, without them having to worry about the cost.
For many, stepping into the theatre at Christmas is an exciting festive treat. For others, it is the chance for something even more meaningful: a place to feel welcomed, connected and part of a shared experience that supports confidence, companionship and wellbeing.
By donating to Give the Gift of Theatre 2026, supporters can help individuals, families, community groups and local organisations enjoy the warmth and imagination that a live performance brings.
Theatre can play an important role in making sense of ourselves and the world around us, creating moments where people can come together, share stories and feel a sense of belonging. At Hull Truck Theatre, that sense of community is central to everything they do.
Janthi Mills-Ward, Executive Director at Hull Truck Theatre, said: “At Hull Truck Theatre, we believe everyone should have the chance to experience the magic of live theatre, regardless of their circumstances. Give the Gift of Theatre helps remove barriers and opens our doors to individuals, families and community groups who may otherwise be unable to attend. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, more people can share in the joy, wonder and sense of belonging that theatre brings, particularly at Christmas when connection and community matter most.”
Your investment supports inclusion at the theatre, ensuring more people can feel that theatre is for them. Last Christmas, more than 1,000 people enjoyed a Hull Truck Theatre production thanks to the generosity of donors, proving the difference a shared festive experience can make.
As recipients of gifted tickets in 2025, St. George’s Primary School said: “The show was amazing and our children thoroughly enjoyed it. Watching the children watching the show is truly fantastic. They literally sit on the edge of their seats. They are in total awe of what they are seeing in front of them. For the majority of our children, it is their first theatre experience.”
This year, every gift will help bring more people through the doors of Hull Truck Theatre, offering the chance to enjoy the gift of live performance, make memories and experience the power of theatre together.
