Hull & Humber Chamber of Commerce and the HEY LEP are working together to provide Hull businesses with an exceptional opportunity to hear from and meet top international trade experts at a series of export awareness and development workshops in March.
Trading overseas may not be as easy as it was, but these events will provide advice and guidance to help explain exporting and help you succeed.
The first online workshop on Wednesday 1 March (10:30am-1:30pm), Export to Europe, will focus on providing real and practical advice to businesses either already trading with Europe or those looking to start or re-engage with this major UK export market. An incredibly experienced and knowledgeable panel of experts will attend the event, so Hull & Humber Chamber of Commerce and HEY LEP urge any business with an interest in Europe to make the most of this amazing opportunity and book a place on their free webinar ASAP.
William Bain, Head of Trade Policy from the British Chamber of Commerce, will provide an update on the EU-UK Trade and Co-operation Agreement, how it affects UK businesses, and how to navigate it successfully to trade with EU member countries.
Lesley Batchelor CBE is a champion of UK exporters and widely recognised for her work in promoting international trade and helping UK businesses manage the trading environment to achieve export growth. She will be coming to Hull to help local businesses understand the regulations and business tools available to succeed in exporting to Europe, providing invaluable practical advice on how to actually get your goods into Europe and delivered to your buyers or potential buyers, including advice on finding the best market to set up a fiscal office or distribution company.
The event organisers will also welcome the British Chamber of Commerce Germany (BCCG), who will provide technical advice and guidance on trading with the EU and Germany and detail some of the numerous opportunities available to UK businesses in Europe and Germany. The BCCG will also be introducing the new funding initiative to help facilitate innovation and partnerships between the UK and Germany.
All of these experts will be available for a limited number of private consultations after the presentations. These 1-2-1s are available to all attendees but will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
This is a free of charge event for Hull-based businesses and is part of a series of export awareness and development workshops funded through the Shared Prosperity Fund.
Exporting doesn’t have to be difficult – it can be made easier but research has to be carried out. Don’t miss your chance to gain advice from the top experts HHCC and HEY LEP are bringing to Hull in March 2023.
