HHCC and HEY LEP are holding a free ‘Global VAT & International Trade Support’ event

Hull & Humber Chamber of Commerce and the HEY LEP are working together to provide Hull businesses with an exceptional opportunity to hear from and meet top international trade experts at a series of export awareness and development workshops in March.

In this final online workshop on Wednesday 22nd March, experts will be sharing their knowledge and experience of Global VAT & International Trade Support as well as being available for 1-2-1s and to assist businesses with their export development and market research plans.

Louise Boussemart from SimplyVAT will be sharing her knowledge and passion for this complex area of international trade. She will discuss e-Commerce VAT changes and the new rules from 1st July 2021 for B2C and B2B sales, when inventory is being held in the EU at the point of sale, sales are done through your own website and/or through an Online Market Place. Louise will also provide advice on the VAT implications when trading from one EU member state to another EU member state.

The speaker panel will also include Sharon Stathers from the Department for International Trade, Lorraine Holt from the Hull and Humber Chamber of Commerce, Colin Moody from Neill and Brown Global Logistics, plus other export support experts, who will highlight other potentially tricky areas of export.

All of the speakers will be available for a limited number of private consultations after the presentations. These 1-2-1s are available to all attendees but will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. There will also be the opportunity to network over lunch.

This is a free of charge event for Hull-based businesses and is part of a series of export awareness and development workshops funded through the Shared Prosperity Fund.

Exporting doesn’t have to be difficult – it can be made easier but research has to be carried out. Don’t miss your chance to gain advice from the top experts HHCC and HEY LEP are bringing to Hull in March 2023.
