Hull broadband firm strike gold at HEYPIBAs

Award-winning Hull broadband provider Pure Broadband has won yet more recognition after its customer service team was crowned the best in Hull and the East Riding.

On the back of national success last month, when the Hessle-based company struck gold with the Best Fibre Marketing Campaign at the UK Fibre Awards, Pure Broadband has again been recognised.

The ultrafast broadband provider’s best-in-class customer service saw it win the First Class Service prize at the 2022 HEYPIBAs, held at the city’s DoubleTree by Hilton.

Sally Kirkwood, service operations manager, said: “We’re delighted to have been recognised with a prestigious HEYPIBA to celebrate the amazing efforts of our customer services team.

“There’s no repeating buzzwords or robotic scripts at Pure Broadband. Unlike many other customer support teams, we have quite literally ‘ripped up the script’ when it comes to the help we offer our customers on the phone and our continued success goes to prove just what a good decision this was.”

In the Customer Hero of the Year category, Zoe Conlan, Pure Broadband’s service desk lead, was named as a finalist in recognition of her unrelenting customer focus across the business, while also going above and beyond to support new starters in the industry.

Pure Broadband was the brainchild of two Hull-based IT professionals, born of a desire to provide an alternative broadband supplier in the Hull area, where KCOM had long been the dominant provider.

The company already has thousands of full fibre broadband customers across Yorkshire and beyond, as its impressive reputation continues to grow.

Their latest success comes after it smashed its own year-on-year growth targets by growing revenue by 33 per cent – all against the backdrop of operating in a regional broadband market that had been dominated for decades by a single provider.
