Hull nursery awarded Outstanding status in recent Ofsted inspection

After its most recent Ofsted inspection on 17 April, Bright Horizons Hull Kingswood Day Nursery and Preschool has been awarded an Outstanding result in all four categories; quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, and leadership management.

Key quotes from the report included:

  • “Staff demonstrate a passion and determination to achieve excellent outcomes for all children. Their holistic approach to teaching is highly engaging and gives children rich and meaningful learning opportunities.”
  • “Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities are supported to the highest level.”
  • Partnership working with parents is exceptional. Parents say that staff are ‘second to none’ and their children thrive and make excellent progress.”

Nursery manager Lindsey said: “I am so proud of the whole team and glad that they have been recognised for their dedication and passion they bring to the nursery every day. Our vision and focus for the nursery is to continue putting the children at the heart of everything we do, ensuring they are happy, enthusiastic confident learners.”

The Bright Beginnings curriculum in use at Hull Kingswood Nursery ensures children learn through play, helping them to discover their interests and passions. The curriculum, which is in place across all Bright Horizons nurseries in England, helps children to prepare for the future, and is designed to acknowledge the individual voice and needs of each child to promote confidence, wellbeing, and a genuine love for learning.
