The music and life of a Hull legend and tunes from the very best pop princesses will be celebrated in two very different shows at Hull Theatres next year.
A Night To Remember – An All Star Tribute To Joe Longthorne will honour the life of one of city’s greatest entertainers at Hull New Theatre on 27 April 2022.
The show will feature show business friends who knew, worked and starred with Joe Longthorne in many TV and theatre shows all over the UK.
The all-star cast includes host and compere Mike Lancaster, fellow comedians The Grumbledweeds and Johnny Casson, and taking to the mic to relive Joe’s classic songs will be Rose-Marie, Richard and Adam, D3IVA, Dave Lea and Phil Harrison – all supported by musical director Andy Mudd and the Joe Longthorne band.
The tributes continue over at Hull City Hall when the drag-tastic Queenz take over the stage to pay homage to the leading ladies of pop on 24 November 2022.
This will be a life-affirming night of fun and frolics with a bunch of boys who dance like Britney and sing like Whitney. They are armed with songs, sass and plenty to say… ready to spread the word, fly the flag and march to an anthemic new beat. Featuring remixed and reimagined pop anthems from The Spice Girls, Lady GaGa, Shakira, Janet Jackson, Britney Spears, Whitney Houston and everything in between.
Both shows will undoubtedly be nights to remember.
