Interweave win at HSJ Digital Awards for Digital Platform

The Interweave Digital Platform has won in the Driving Interoperability and Standards Through Digital category at the Health Service Journal (HSJ) Awards 2026.

These incredibly prestigious awards are among the most coveted in healthcare. The HSJ Digital Awards recognise the NHS’s most ground-breaking digital projects and teams whose successful digital implementations are already delivering on those strategic goals with clear, measurable value.

The Driving Interoperability and Standards Through Digital category was new for the HSJ Digital Awards this year. The Government recently announced its intention to develop a Single Patient Record (SPR) for healthcare data to be stored and accessed from one portal. This means there has never been a more important time to be recognised for this technology.

Interweave’s Digital Platform captures and processes clinical information, improving clinician’s user experience and reducing their documentation burden. By automating tasks like referrals and patient communications, valuable time is freed up allowing clinicians to focus more on delivering high-quality, compassionate care. The benefits for patients are felt throughout their healthcare journey, with their history and data being accessed by their clinical team so they can receive quick and relevant care.

Interweave, is part of Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust, yet their reach is on a national scale, with partners from all over England contributing to the platform. These partners include Integrated Care Boards, NHS Trusts, Social Care, Local Authorities, Ambulance Services and GP Practices.

Lee Rickles, Chief Information Officer at Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust and Programme Director for Interweave, shared his pride in the digital platform winning this award, “Interweave is delighted to have been recognised for driving interoperability and standards. These are two of the most important pillars of our digital platform, and we believe our focus on these areas has been a key driver of our success. I would like to congratulate our entire team and take the opportunity to thank our partners for their continued support.”

This national recognition underscores Interweave’s role as digital leaders within the NHS and wider healthcare community, and highlights the importance of innovation, collaboration, and patient-centric design in driving forward digital transformation.
