Little Owls needs your support

The new year brings new opportunities and the chance to join a fantastic team at Little Owls Day Nursery, a unique Hull-based nursery owned and run by well-loved local charity Dove House Hospice.

Are you passionate about working with young children and always have their needs and best interests in mind? The Little Owls team consists of highly dedicated and experienced early years practitioners and there’s room in the nest for you!

Kerry Farquhar, Nursery Operations Manager at Little Owls Day Nursery, had this to say: “Working at Little Owls is a fantastic opportunity, not just because you are nurturing and caring for little ones but you are also supporting Dove House. Not only am I doing something I love but I know I am playing a bigger part in something good for my community. Supporting and guiding children through their early years is an honour. Join the team and you could be making a difference too.”

Little Owls Day Nursery at Dove House is based on the same site as the hospice, it is completely independent and run from a separate building. This facility provides an excellent environment for children to develop and thrive, with three separate outside play areas and a beautiful woodland walk to explore.

A second Little Owls was opened in 2019 at Ainthorpe within the footprint of Ainthorpe Primary School on Willerby Road. The nursery is completely independent to the school, although it does benefit from having a good working relationship with it. The building and facilities have been designed specifically for the nursery and incorporate three spacious outside play areas.

Both nurseries quickly developed an excellent reputation in the local early years childcare sector, caring for children from age 3 months to 5 years. All profits raised from the nurseries are donated back to Dove House, Hull and East Yorkshire’s only adults hospice.
