Local business is raising funds for HEY Children’s University with a virtual bike ride

Web design and digital marketing agency Eyeweb has set an ambitious mission of cycling the distance from Hull to Paris to raise money for HEY Children’s University.

The team at Eyeweb will complete Le Tour de Eyeweb using two exercise bikes set up at their HQ in Hessle. Each team member will bike for around one hour a day between 27th November and 1st December.

“We wanted to create an event that got the whole Eyeweb team involved, kept us fit, and gave something back to a worthy cause.  Together, we came up with Le Tour De Eyeweb. By riding the 500 miles, we will raise funds for Hull Children’s University.” -Paul Scott, Managing Director at Eyeweb.

Eyeweb has chosen to partner with HEY Children’s University because of its total commitment to giving every child in Hull and East Yorkshire the opportunities they deserve, no matter what circumstances they were born into.

Many children around Hull and East Yorkshire do not have the same opportunities as other children in the UK. HEY Children’s University takes underprivileged children on trips, allowing them to discover their unique talents and inspire new ambitions.

“Hull and East Yorkshire Children’s University gives children growing up in the most disadvantaged areas of the region opportunities that they wouldn’t otherwise have. Many children in Hull have never been much further than the end of their own street, and there are children in Bridlington who have never even been to the beach. We want all children to have the chance to discover their talents and interests – to make sure they have a dream for the future and believe they can achieve it. We do this by taking children on experiences that broaden horizons, build confidence and raise aspirations” -Sarah Brodie, Partnership Manager at HEY Children’s University.

As well as biking 500 miles, Eyeweb is starting the donations with £300. You can support Eyeweb and donate by visiting their Just Giving page. Remember to click and share the fundraiser on your social media to help spread the word.

“This charity works tirelessly to give meaningful life experiences to underprivileged children in our area.  We would encourage any business owner to find a few pounds to donate to our good cause.” -Paul Scott.

Four businesses can officially sponsor Le Tour de Eyeweb with a donation of £250. Dutch Imports and Leafe Consultancy have already chosen to become sponsors and donated generously. These donations will significantly help HEY Children’s University.

As well as helping local children, sponsorship gets your company logo on all event marketing materials, including social media posts. For information regarding the final two sponsorship opportunities, email paul@eyeweb.co.uk.

The Eyeweb team are excited to embrace this 500-mile challenge, knowing every pedal they push brings them closer to raising £2000 for HEY Children’s University and making a positive impact on the local community.

“We hope you can join us on our charity ride and support a good local cause.” -Paul Scott.
