Local NHS Trust offers exciting opportunity to become Associate Non-Executive Director

Applications are now being accepted by Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust for two Associate Non-Executive Director positions, providing an exceptional opportunity for the right people to gain a wealth of experience and make a real difference in their local healthcare setting.

The position of Associate Non-Executive Director was brought in two years ago with the aim to offer candidates an excellent opportunity to gain exposure and experience at board level, and to support improved health outcomes for patients. Due to this position being opened up to two roles working on a part-time basis, it could suit a wide range of people looking to fit it around their existing work.

Do you want to add board level experience to your CV or perhaps you already have it and would like to expand upon this and make a difference in your local area? This position is an excellent stepping stone and could lead on to a Non-Executive Director position within the Trust for the right individual.

In particular, the Trust would welcome applications from those living in or having strong connections with the areas where they provide services. The right candidate would need to be able to demonstrate a genuine commitment to patients and the promotion of excellent health care services. As part of this Trust’s commitment to diversity and representation they would especially welcome approaches from women, those from Black, Ethnic and minority backgrounds, disabled people, or individuals from the LGBTQ+ community.

But what would the right candidates bring to the Trust? Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust is looking for individuals who can bring independence, external skills, challenge strategy development, support purposeful and constructive scrutiny, and help shape a healthy culture. Rt. Hon. Caroline Flint, in her position as Chair of the Trust, said “I am seeking people with strong leadership skills and a passion for improvement in health and social care”. Could this be you?
