Lovell Homes to host property advice day for Kirk Ella house-hunters

National housebuilder Lovell Homes, is inviting all house hunters looking for a new home in East Riding of Yorkshire to join them for a special property advice day on Saturday 14 January from 11.00am until 5.00pm.

The special event will take place at the marketing suite at one of Lovell Homes’ latest developments, The Sycamores, in Kirk Ella, Hull.  There, mortgage brokers Mortgage Pathways and new build mortgage specialists, The New Homes Group will be on hand to share their expert advice. During the event, current homeowners and new buyers will have the opportunity to discuss their finances and find out more about the purchasing process, as well as what to expect when moving into a new-build home in the current market.

Colette Ben Tarcha, regional sales director at Lovell Homes, said: “We understand that the current property market, coupled with the ongoing cost of living crisis can make the house buying process seem like a minefield at the moment. That’s why we wanted to offer a little helping hand. It’s a difficult time for house hunters, but hopefully by giving them the chance to discuss any questions they have with our property experts, it will demystify the purchasing process, help them know what to expect and ultimately, put them on a path towards securing the home of their dreams.”

The event will see Mark Finch, mortgage and protection advisor from Mortgage Pathways offer his expertise on a range of topics including mortgage rates and financial advice.

Mark said: “As specialist new-build mortgage brokers, we’re always passionate about helping people have a positive home buying experience. During the upcoming event, we’re looking forward to meeting house hunters, discussing in detail the new-build purchasing process, and talking to attendees one-on-one about how to make their new home dreams a reality in 2023.

“As there are so many uncertainties surrounding mortgages in the current climate, people tend to make decisions based upon what they think rather than what is available now. The mortgage market is moving very quickly so understanding where you stand is so important.”

Joining Mark will be Catherine Hartley, client relationship manager at The New Homes Group, who will be discussing the benefits of its Helping Hands Scheme which allows prospective buyers to reserve a new build plot while The New Homes Group help them sell their current home.

Catherine added: “The property market is definitely a different space to what it was a year ago, but it certainly isn’t all doom and gloom. The second-hand market is still selling, and people are still wanting to both move and sell.

“In the forever changing market, housebuilders have seen a dramatic rise in enquires too. Our aim at The New Homes Group is to reassure people of the benefits of the Helpings Hands Scheme and how this can really help them with their purchases. I would really encourage anyone in the local area who is looking to buy, to pop down to the Lovell Advice Day to discuss any queries.”

At the event, house buyers will also have the chance to find out more about Lovell Homes’ Kirk Ella development, The Sycamores, which offers both three and four-bedroom show homes, with prices for three-bedroom homes starting from £295,000 and four-bedroom homes from £365,000.

They will also be able to view a brand new show home of the developments’ three-bedroom, three storey Osbourne.

The advice day is a free event with no prior booking required. Further information about The Sycamores can be found here: www.lovell.co.uk/developments/the-sycamores-kirk-ella or call 01482 298 461.
