Brough-based bread business, Luke’s Bakery is celebrating Sourdough September with the return of its Big ‘Dough-nation’.
Back for a second year, Luke is inviting nominations for local heroes across Yorkshire or North Lincolnshire to receive a free delivery of his freshly-baked sourdough loaves. From charities and community groups to public service teams and voluntary organisations, the campaign aims to recognise those making a difference in their local communities.
The lucky recipients will receive a fresh bread delivery on Wednesday 30th September, hand-delivered by Luke himself, Founder of Luke’s Bakery. The bread can be used however they like – whether it’s a tea and toast break, team breakfast or some extra special sourdough sarnies!
To nominate an organisation, visit the official Luke’s Bakery Facebook page or Instagram page and comment on their Big ‘Dough-nation’ post by 5pm on Friday 25th September with the name of the organisation and why they deserve a free bread delivery.
One or more winning organisations will be selected by Luke and his team from all eligible nominations received. Luke says of the initiative:
“2025’s Big Dough-nation was one of the highlights of our year here at the bakery, so of course we had to bring it back, this time for Sourdough September.
“We’re a proud Yorkshire business and always looking for ways to give back to our community. There are so many incredible people out there, working hard to make a difference, so please help us find them and say a big thank you with some seriously tasty bread!
