A previous launderette on Queens Road in Hull has been fully renovated, including the installation of the latest machines available in the country.
The Queens Road business (HU5 2PY) is the second of these launderettes to open within Hull this year, with the first on Boothferry Road proving very successful since launching in April.
The new launderette includes XL washers and dryers, which are considerably more efficient than domestic machines. Most importantly, the biggest advantage is the new pay point, which allows easy payment by card or phone. This is the first instance of the system being used in the UK.
Whilst giving a respectful nod to its previous owner in keeping with the style of the building and its neighbourhood, customers will notice that the premises have been given a thorough upgrade. The premises are now very modern and clean, leading to them being described by customers as like entering a showroom.
This development means that the Avenues and Beverley Road areas now have one of the most modern launderettes within the country, which is a response to a growing trend and the resurgence of launderettes.
