New shows on sale now at Hull Theatres

There’s plenty to look forward to at Hull Theatres in the months ahead. Whether you’re looking to enjoy a night of live entertainment, delve into the morbid and macabre or embark on an awe-inspiring voyage through the cosmos, there’s sure to be something for everyone.

There’s monthly laughs to be had as the Laugh Out Loud Comedy Club returns to Hull City Hall’s Mortimer Suite from 11 September 2026. Featuring established UK and international acts and the best emerging talent from across the world, each show includes three top comedians plus resident host and compere, Hullensian Jed Salisbury.

The comedy continues on 24 October 2026 as Baga Chipz also makes a return to Hull City Hall’s Mortimer Suite with Bagz to Riches. The international drag superstar and RuPaul’s Drag Race UK icon celebrates twenty years in show business with a love letter to the fans who made it possible. Expect a jam-packed night of outrageous stand-up comedy, untold stories, anecdotes, memories and music.

Behind a normal door, in an ordinary house, lies a museum that’s anything but. Join Hull’s own Reece Shearsmith at Hull City Hall on 29 October 2026 for an exploration into the morbid and macabre. Things I Took from the Dark as told by Reece Shearsmith shares the stories behind the unusual objects that Reece has collected throughout his life from a terrifying childhood encounter on a Hull council estate to haunting dressing rooms and stranger things still.

UK Pink Floyd Experience head to Hull City Hall on 4 February 2027. Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the powerful and enduring Animals, this landmark show features a complete live performance of the album alongside iconic tracks from Pink Floyd’s remarkable back catalogue. Expect to hear hits including Money, Time, Another Brick in the Wall and Comfortably Numb.

Later in the month, The Amy Winehouse Band heads to Hull City Hall on 12 February 2027 with their Back to Black 20th Anniversary Tour. In 2006, Amy Winehouse’s Back to Black transformed her from a rising talent into a global culture force. Twenty years on, her band, led by Amy’s longtime musical director and bass player Dale Davis, continue to keep her legacy alive by allowing fans to experience these modern classics performed live.

There’s more music at Hull City Hall as The Best of Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons returns on 12 March 2027 starring The X Factor winner Matt Terry. This nostalgic musical journey pays tribute to the life and career of one of the most iconic acts in music history.  This spectacular celebration features all the timeless hits including Sherry, Big Girls Don’t Cry and Can’t Take My Eyes Off You.

Experience the ultimate celebration of the Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll’s legacy as What’s Love Got To Do With It? – A Tribute to Tina Turner returns to Hull City Hall on 8 May 2027. This unforgettable evening of high-energy, feel-good rock and soul is brough to life by a phenomenal live band and is packed with all the songs you know and love including Proud Mary, River Deep Mountain High, Simply the Best and Private Dancer.

From superstars to the stars in the sky as The Night Sky Show – A Sky Full of Hope returns to Hull City Hall on 14 November 2027. Presented by astronomer and author Adrian West (aka VirtualAstro), this glorious visual and thought-provoking show takes you on a fantastic and epic journey through the cosmos from our celestial back yard. Discover more about the skies above us as science fiction and science fact are combined and presented in an entertaining and accessible way.
