‘Sugar Jar’ is the first single to be released by On The Rise this year. A new song is planned every eight weeks followed by a brand-new album due in October 2024. This follows the release of their previous album ‘Life, Love and Music’ that was released in October 2023.
Lead singer Hannah said: “Sugar Jar is a song about loss, about how enduring it can be when you live in the memories of someone you love or once loved. The sugar jar represents something that brings you the reminder that things will never be as they were. Essentially, it’s a song about love and its power to change your world.”
This song is produced by On The Rise guitarist and songwriter Andrew Thomas.
Andrew added: “I loved working on the new material for this year. It’s been a challenge switching between the role of artist and producer, but I’ve really enjoyed the process and I’m looking forward to delivering the full album later in the year.”
