In the latest fightback against the impact of Coronavirus on business, Hull and East Yorkshire Local Enterprise Partnership (HEY LEP) are delivering the second series of Peer Network groups, aimed at helping SMEs in the Hull and East Yorkshire region to tackle problems, identify opportunities and grow.
Peer Networks is a free national initiative, created by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), managed locally by HEY LEP and delivered by Biskit, a Yorkshire based business consultancy.
Whether you’re online, a manufacturer or service-based operation, owning or managing a small or medium sized business has many challenges. These challenges can range from finance and logistics, through to scaling for growth, marketing, exporting, or simply not having someone else to share your business concerns with. While Covid-19 has added to these challenges for many companies, it has also brought considerable opportunities for others.
Created with SMEs in mind, the Peer Networks programme offers business leaders the chance to learn, share and grow in a supportive and collaborative space through free networking opportunities.
Jon Brunton, Growth Hub Manager at HEYLEP, said: “Many companies across the UK have already benefitted from Peer Networks. We’re really excited to be running the programme again and working with Biskit to support over 65 companies during the next few months.
“Peer Networks bring companies together in online cohorts of 11 people, meeting regularly to discuss problems, opportunities and barriers to growth. In addition to the online sessions, every company also receives up to three and half hours of one-to- one consultancy on top, fully funded by BEIS.
“We would urge any small to medium sized enterprises in Hull and East Yorkshire to take advantage of this exciting opportunity and join the Peer Network programme. Spaces are limited, so if you have a desire to grow your existing business, contact us without delay.”
Edward Ryder Biskit MD, said: “The impact of Peer Networks sessions on business performance can be dramatic. Whether you employ five people or 249, if you have a desire to grow, Peer Networks can bring value to your business.
“In addition to the fortnightly online sessions, the one-to-one consultancy really helps companies drill down into their specific issues, coming away with a clear plan of action. And it’s all for free with the minimum of paperwork.”
