Performance marketing agency and Shopify Plus experts, Meta, rebrand to Herd

The Yorkshire agency, based in Hessle, works with brands including La Redoute, Face the Future and Butlin’s.

The rebrand of Meta to Herd also comes at a time when it’s important to stand out from the crowd and move away from an old name that could get confused with Facebook’s new virtual world.

The pandemic has accelerated the agency’s growth, expanding the team with six new employees, including Head of Marketing, Jon Patrick, Head of Development, Chris Gill, Content Strategist, Adam Brannon, and SEO Manager, Ross Stuart.

The agency has achieved many accolades, including recent wins at the UK eCommerce Awards, the Global Digital Excellence Awards, as well as the Northern Digital Awards. Just last year alone, the development team launched websites for brands including Cedar Court Hotels, Opera Beds, R&R Country, and Steamforged Games.

The name change reflects a natural evolution for the agency, which builds growth solutions for ambitious brands, working collaboratively as one herd.

But why elephants? Well, they’re the world’s largest land mammal, and what better way to represent a growing team than as a collective herd. They have great hearing, something the team prides themselves on when listening to clients. They’re trail finders, work hard, and play hard too. Finally, they’ve got thick skin – something everyone in this industry needs.
