The Viewfinder Photographic Society’s (VPS) annual exhibition gets underway once again in October in a newly refurbished Skidby Village Hall after the coronavirus pandemic forced the cancellation of the event back in 2020.
David Marshall, VPS Chairman said: “We can’t wait to welcome visitors to our exhibition after the disappointment of having to cancel it last year. We’ve worked closely with the Village Hall Committee to ensure that everyone will feel safe while they enjoy browsing members’ recent photographs in our ‘new look’ venue.”
Figures show that visitor numbers have steadily increased over the years and the exhibition has established itself as a popular community event, attracting people of all ages who like to come and browse the pictures, vote for their favourite images and sometimes buy a gift from one of the stalls selling cards and prints.
Once again, the Society has also been invited to take the display to Lockington Village Hall for visitors to enjoy, so anyone that can’t see the exhibition in Skidby will have another opportunity in the East Riding the following weekend.
The club, which has a waiting list, provides a place for members to learn more about their photography by being with others who share their passion.
Exhibition opening times: Friday 8 – Sunday 10 October, 10am – 5pm
