RS, a trading brand of RS Group plc (LSE: RS1), a global provider of product and service solutions, has confirmed its support for children’s charity KIDS Yorkshire for a second year running, after the Hull-based RS Safety Solutions team raised £770 for the charity through various activities since March 2022.
KIDS Yorkshire provides a wide range of services nationally for disabled children, young people and their families. Their services cover three main areas: information, advice and family support, play and social and learning and development.
RS raised funds from a casino evening, and made donations of Christmas gifts and personal protective equipment (PPE). Planned fundraising activities this year from RS will include attendance at a fundraising dinner at the MKM stadium in Hull, a bake sale event at the RS Safety Solutions premises and Christmas present deliveries for local children and families.
Claire Crosbie, Senior Yorkshire fundraiser for KIDS Yorkshire, said: “KIDS Yorkshire is delighted to have been chosen by RS Safety Solutions as its Charity of the Year once again for 2023-2024.
“The charity partnership started in March 2022 and since then they have supported us by providing PPE, raising money and also have supported us with Christmas presents for all our early years and family activities groups.
“The relationship has grown over the past 14 months and we look forward to this successful partnership flourishing as the RS team continue to be at hand volunteering for us at various events over the summer of 2023.
“Charity partnerships like this are vital for raising awareness, providing much needed funds and equipment. Thank you so much from all of us at KIDS.”
RS Group provides two volunteer days a year for all employees. The RS Safety Solutions team will use these days in the summer holidays to help-out at a two-day event at Welton Waters, organised by KIDS Yorkshire, where children will have the chance to take part in water-based activities.
RS Safety Solutions hopes to raise even more funds than last year for this vital charity organisation, setting a target of £2,500.
