RSPCA Hull & East Riding is bringing together the local community for a powerful evening of celebration, reflection and generosity at its World Kindness Day Gala Dinner 2026, taking place on Friday 13th November 2026 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hull.

Held to mark World Kindness Day, the Gala Dinner will celebrate the compassion and commitment that define our work, while raising vital funds to support the rehabilitation and rehoming of animals and people who support them across Hull and the East Riding.
Guests attending the Gala Dinner can expect a memorable and uplifting evening featuring a three-course meal, live entertainment, inspiring stories and moments that place kindness firmly at the heart of the night. Funds raised will help RSPCA Hull & East Riding continue to rehabilitate and rehome more than 300 animals each year, educate children and young people about compassion for animals, and provide meaningful wellbeing and community support.
Matthew Wright, Head of Operations at RSPCA Hull & East Riding, said: “The World Kindness Day Gala Dinner is about more than one evening. It’s about celebrating the people, partnerships and shared belief that make our work possible, while building hope for the future. Every ticket sold supports animals who have experienced trauma and helps us create a centre fit for generations to come.”
Tickets are priced at £60 per person, with tables of ten available, and early booking is encouraged due to high demand. While the evening will be supported by local partners and organisations, the focus remains firmly on bringing people together around a shared commitment to kindness, community and animal welfare.
Local businesses and organisations also have the opportunity to be involved as event sponsors, supporting the Gala while demonstrating a shared commitment to kindness, animal welfare and community wellbeing. A limited number of sponsorship and partnership opportunities are available, ranging from supporting elements of the evening to contributing skills or services that help bring the event to life.
Matt Wright Added: “Sponsorship plays an important role in maximising the funds raised and ensuring the event delivers lasting benefit for animals and the people who support them. We have already seen firsthand the impact of working in partnership
with businesses through corporate volunteering, sponsorship of kennel and cattery space, donations of goods and in-kind support helping the charity to operate. I would encourage organisation interested in being involved in sponsoring the Gala Dinner to get in touch as there are a wide range of opportunities available.”
The event is set to be a highlight of the branch’s fundraising calendar and will also be a platform to officially launch our “Building Hope” Capital Project and Fundraising appeal. The Building Hope project will transform the charity’s Clough Road site into a modern Community Animal Care and Education Centre, alongside a state-of-the-art cattery, ensuring the charity can meet growing demand and serve the region for the next 100 years. The redevelopment will enhance animal welfare, expand education and wellbeing support, and provide a welcoming space for thousands of visitors, volunteers and supporters each year.
