Saddle up for a wild country round-up this May Half Term at William’s Den

The school holidays are set to get a whole lot wilder, as award-winning adventure play attraction William’s Den invites families to dust off their boots and grab their hats for an action-packed May Half Term celebration.

Running daily from Saturday 23rd May to Sunday 31st May 2026, William’s Wild Country Round-Up promises a full day of high-energy entertainment, hands-on activities and unlimited indoor-outdoor play for children of all ages.

Bringing the spirit of the frontier to the heart of the Yorkshire Wolds, the Den will be transformed into a Wild Country playground where families can enjoy a packed schedule of themed fun throughout the day.

At the heart of the experience is the chance to meet Cowboy William, who will be roaming the Den all day long for photo opportunities, surprises and plenty of family smiles.

Young adventurers can test their aim at Tin Can Alley, race their way to glory in the Hobby Horse Derby, and show off their best boot-flinging skills in the ever-popular Welly Wanging challenge.

Families can also join in daily Cowboy Line Dancing sessions, before cooling off in The Big Water Fight- an epic outlaws versus sheriffs showdown guaranteed to make a splash.

To round off the day, guests can head to the Country Hoedown Disco, where children and grown-ups alike can kick up some dust and dance beneath the Yorkshire sky.

Visitors can also make the most of William’s Den’s newly launched menu during their visit, featuring fresh seasonal dishes, family favourites and delicious options designed to refuel hungry adventurers after a day of play.

May also marks the reopening of William’s Den Camping, giving families the chance to extend the adventure with an overnight stay under the stars. Guests can choose from spacious pitch-up camping or cosy bell tents, with access to the countryside campsite and family-friendly facilities just moments from the Den’s adventure play attraction.

As always, every ticket includes full access to William’s Den’s award-winning indoor and outdoor adventure play spaces. Families can explore the handcrafted Indoor Den, tackle zip wires, climb mountains, race through molehills and enjoy acres of imaginative play all day long.

For those wanting an extra-special keepsake, the optional Buddy Workshop: Build-a-Teddy gives children the chance to create their very own cuddly companion, complete with Wild Country cowboy outfit.

Tor Carver, Co-Founder and Creator of William’s Den, says: “We wanted May Half Term to feel like a proper burst of fresh air- children racing about, laughing, competing, getting muddy, using their imaginations and having the kind of day they talk about all the way home.

Wild Country Round-Up is full of energy, adventure and playful competition. It’s about families getting outside together, cheering each other on and making brilliant memories before summer even begins.”

William’s Wild Country Round-Up runs daily from 10am to 5pm from Saturday 23rd May to Sunday 31st May 2026.

Tickets start from £17.05 for children aged 3+, £14.95 for children aged 1–3, £12.85 for adults and £11.80 for seniors. Family bundle tickets are also available on selected opening and closing weekend dates.
