Seven-year-old Jacob tackling major bridges with father Kenny

Seven-year-old Jacob and his Dad, Kenny, are tackling major bridge walks in memory of his mummy.

When Jacob was just 18 months old, he lost his mum to pulmonary fibrosis. Jacob, alongside his father, is helping to raise awareness of this life-limiting disease and to help others too.

After conquering six major bridges in Scotland, Kenny and Jacob have recently completed two further bridge walks on the 14th and 16th July. Jacob has now managed to conquer his biggest and longest feat ever by walking The Severn Bridge and The Humber Bridge. To date, they have raised over £4,300.

Pulmonary fibrosis is a progressive, incurable lung disease that has an average life expectancy of just three years.

Peter Bryce, Chair of the Pulmonary Fibrosis Trust, said: “We are so pleased to support Jacob and Kenny on their fundraising journey. The hard work and determination that both are showing by completing multiple bridge walks is commendable.”
