Songwriter Andrew Thomas to release his new single ‘Out of Your Mind’

Mastered at Abbey Road Studios in London by Geoff Pesche (Pulp, Ed Sheeran, Spice Girls) Andrew Thomas releases his new single on Friday 29 July, featuring Kate Roebuck on vocals. The song is co-written with Craig Steer and mixed by Mikey Scott.

Speaking on the IO Music Group podcast over on Patreon, Andrew said: “The song is a huge collaboration and features Kate Roebuck on vocals. I was experimenting with songwriting and digging deeper into difficulties in life (alcohol-related issues along with dealing with victims of self-harm). I never thought I would explore these themes as an artist and songwriter. This song is a huge indie pop ballad and includes performances from Kurt Jackson (The Avenues, On The Rise) on drums, Milton Ashbridge (The Froot) on bass, Craig Steer on piano and organ and Callum Smith on guitar.”

“To have a song mastered at Abbey Road Studios was just unreal. To be in the building where The Beatles created their music is a dream come true. Huge thank you to Hull College for providing such a great opportunity.”

‘Out of Your Mind’ is the first song to be released from Andrew’s third solo album, which will be released at a later date. It follows his last single ‘Until Tomorrow’ that was released in June.

You can see Andrew and Kate perform their new single live at the IO Music Group Showcase at Sharkey’s bar in Hull on Friday 29 July, where they’ll be supporting On The Rise.
