Speaking to the future of Humber offshore wind

The full potential of offshore wind in the Humber is the focus of the region’s leading 2024 renewables event.

Taking to the platform at Offshore Wind Connections (OWC2024) in Hull on Wednesday 1 and Thursday 2 May is a combination of high-profile keynote speakers and panels of experts.

With its overarching future theme, topics will include major project updates, the contribution of offshore wind to net zero targets, the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead, development of the supply chain, innovation and sustainability, regional infrastructure and skills development.

Influential speakers will provide spotlights and in-depth information on significant developments, with highlights including the conference keynote speaker Corrine Barry, RWE’s UK East Coast Director for Net Zero. Also speaking will be Dan McGrail from RenewableUK, Morten Holm from platinum sponsor Orsted, Bailey Bradley from XceCO (Lynn and Inner Dowsing) and Chris Jenner from Outer Dowsing.

The panel sessions, chaired by former business journalist Dave Laister, will bring together government, academia and industry to give unique perspectives and provide learning opportunities for audience and panellists alike. More than 30 experts are taking part in the on-stage discussions where hot topics of the day will be explored.

OWC2024 is hosted by the influential business group Humber Marine & Renewables and being held in partnership with the Humber Renewables Awards.
