Tapasya Marina has launched a refreshed à la carte menu, introducing a collection of new dishes that celebrate the depth, colour and character of Indian cuisine while continuing the restaurant’s signature fusion of authentic flavours and quality British ingredients.

The new menu brings together regional inspiration, refined presentation and the bold spicing Tapasya is known for, with standout dishes including Tempura Crab, Special Pyaaz Ke Pakore, Tandoori Kasundi Prawns, Sarson Wala Salmon and Nalli Ki Gosht.
Among the new starters is Tempura Crab, featuring freshwater soft-shell crab in a light, crisp tempura batter, alongside Special Pyaaz Ke Pakore, a North Indian style crispy onion bhaji served with tamarind chutney. The starter selection also includes Amritsari Fish Pakora, Malai Chicken Tikka, Tandoori Chicken Wings and Achari Soya Chaap, giving diners a wider choice of seafood, meat, vegetarian and vegan-friendly dishes.

The refreshed main menu places a particular focus on premium seafood and clay-oven cooking. Tandoori Kasundi Prawns features jumbo prawns marinated with yoghurt and Kasundi Indian mustard masala, while Sarson Wala Salmon combines salmon with fenugreek, honey, mustard and dill before being grilled over open clay-oven fire and served with baby potatoes in a dill sauce.
For guests looking for a rich, slow-cooked dish, Nalli Ki Gosht introduces lamb shank on the bone, slowly braised with a multitude of spices to create a velvety curry with the distinctive depth of bone marrow. The menu also includes Tapasya Mirch Machali, a seabass dish served with coconut rice, and a refreshed ‘Dum’ Biryani, available with lamb, chicken or vegetables.
The vegetarian section has also been expanded, with dishes including Hyderabadi Masala Baingan, Paneer Jhalfrezi, Saag Paneer, Sabzi-e-Bahaar, Kadahi Broccoli, Chana Masala, Dhaniye Waale Aloo and Panchratni Dal. Several dishes are now clearly marked as vegan-friendly, giving diners more clarity and choice when ordering.
The rice and bread selection has also grown, with additions such as Coconut Rice, Cheese Garlic Naan, Keema Naan and Amritsari Stuffed Kulcha, a North Indian flatbread filled with savoury spiced potatoes and onions.
The launch of the new à la carte menu marks the latest chapter for Tapasya Marina, which continues to offer a distinctive Indian dining experience overlooking Hull Marina. Known for its elegant setting, carefully crafted dishes and warm hospitality, the restaurant remains a popular choice for relaxed lunches, special occasions, date nights, celebrations and corporate dining.
Dr Tapan Mahapatra, owner of Tapasya Marina, said: “With this new menu, we wanted to honour the authenticity of Indian cooking while continuing to bring our own Tapasya interpretation to each dish. Indian cuisine has such incredible depth, from its regional flavours and traditional techniques to the way spices are layered and balanced.
“Our aim has been to respect that heritage while pairing it with the quality produce, creativity and refined style our guests have come to expect from us. These dishes have been created with real care by our kitchen team, and we hope our customers enjoy discovering them as much as we have enjoyed developing them.”
