The Business Culture HEY is celebrating 9 years of connecting and supporting businesses

What started in 2016 as a vision to bring people together in a friendly, welcoming and supportive environment has grown into what could be the largest and most inviting business club in the region.

Tony and Michelle Bowler

Founded by networking specialists Tony and Michelle Bowler, The Business Culture Hull & East Yorkshire (HEY) follows a clear mission of helping businesses to grow, build meaningful connections, and create a network of mutual support. In the process, everything is kept local in order to bolster the regional economy and draw footfall to the club’s many events.

“The Business Culture HEY has now been at the heart of the local business community for nine years,” said Tony Bowler. “That’s almost a decade of forging connections, fostering relationships and creating opportunities for businesses of all sizes. We couldn’t have achieved this milestone without the can-do attitude of our many members.”

The Business Culture HEY has grown year on year in both numbers and representation, with membership across Hull and East Yorkshire, stretching from York to Scunthorpe and Goole to Grimsby. More than just a networking group, it is a thriving community where businesses from all sectors come together to provide support, proactively share knowledge and celebrate each other’s successes. Many new friendships are created in the process, adding to the club’s welcoming and cooperative atmosphere.

Michelle Bowler said: ” As we reflect on the past nine years, we want to take a moment to thank all our members and connections for their support. Commitment to collaboration, encouragement and shared success is what makes The Business Culture HEY so special.”

Looking ahead, The Business Culture HEY is creating new opportunities for members and businesses to connect, grow and thrive. In 2024, the club organised the first ever Hull Business Expo, which attracted over 10,000 people to Princes Quay Shopping Centre in just one day. This year’s event on Wednesday 2nd April at the same venue will be even larger thanks to additional support from Hull City Council and the wider business community.

“We’re very excited to welcome even more local businesses, entrepreneurs and professionals to showcase their products and services,” said Tony. “The Hull Business Expo is free to attend and it’s a fantastic opportunity to make valuable connections, raise awareness of your offering and take your business to new heights.”

If you’re a business owner looking to expand your network, gain valuable support from likeminded professionals and connect with over 160 local businesses, The Business Culture HEY could be exactly what you need.
