The Rocky Horror Show celebrates 50 years at Hull New Theatre

Cult classic The Rocky Horror Show returns to Hull New Theatre from 9 – 14 October celebrating 50 years on stage.

This special anniversary production will deliver all the naughtiness audiences know and love alongside the iconic soundtrack featuring Sweet Transvestite, Science Fiction Double Feature and Time Warp.

It is the story of two squeaky clean college kids, Brad and his fiancée Janet, whose car breaks down outside a creepy mansion where they meet the charismatic Dr Frank’n’Furter. It is an adventure they’ll never forget, filled with fun, frolics, frocks, and frivolity.

Richard O’Brien’s legendary rock ‘n’ roll musical celebrates half a century of non-stop partying and has been seen by over 30 million people worldwide.

He said: “To be celebrating fifty years is beyond my wildest expectations – from the humble beginnings back in 1973. The fact that it continues to delight audiences as it tours the UK fifty years on is simply thrilling. The Rocky Horror Show is one of Britain’s most performed and beloved musicals of all time.”

Tickets are on sale from today at 10am. Book at the Hull City Hall box office, call 01482 300 306 or visit www.hulltheatres.co.uk to book online.
