The Wheatsheaf in Kirk Ella, Hull, welcomes back the local community, débuting a reimagined look and feel.
A six-figure investment has transformed the country pub, promising guests an authentic, quality pub experience. To celebrate the opening, there will be a soft launch as well as a welcoming party on Thursday 20th May.
Emphasising the ‘little moments that matter’ and cherished moments with friends and family, the traditional pub has received a new lease of life showcasing the venue’s best attributes. It provides guests with the perfect space to sit back and enjoy quality food and drink, paired with impeccable service. The transformed space accentuates the warm and welcoming dining area, complete with a contemporary colour scheme, revived bar adorned with crafted cask ales and cosy snug area.
Celebrated for its quality and value, a new menu will offer traditional pub classics as well as an array of contemporary dishes. Making Sundays the pinnacle of the week, The Wheatsheaf Sunday Roast menu includes traditional much-loved choices and meat-free options, calling out provenance and premium ingredients – the full course meal option from drinks, all the way through to dessert, leaves diners spoilt for choice. Alongside this, Seasonal Specials will offer variety and choice to offer something new for regular patrons.

Andy Cane, General Manager at The Wheatsheaf, said: “We can’t wait to open our doors and provide a very warm welcome to our locals. Our teams are primed and ready to go to provide the very best service our guests expect – and not to mention, unveil our new interior and menus.
“We hope guests love it as much as we do; whilst having a contemporary look, we’ve kept our warm and authentic look and feel that we’re known for intact. We’ve worked hard on developing a new menu that we’re confident our guests will love, it’s full of traditional favourites as well as seasonal specialities – it’s been long overdue and we’re looking forward to welcoming back everyone very soon.”
