The family-owned practice has experienced rapid growth over the years, which all began when its founder, Aaron Gilmore, decided that businesses deserved a fresh approach to accountancy, payroll, tax services and much more.

Aaron said: “Our motto here at TreyBridge Accountants is ‘Navigating Your Numbers’, which goes far beyond simply being told what you’ve spent over the last twelve months. It’s about fully understanding your business finances and using this in-depth insight to make better decisions going forward.

“Many of our clients came to us after using other accountancy practices that were more like history teachers. Instead, we pride ourselves on being pathfinders, which involves explaining exactly what your numbers mean and recommending ways to improve. This could be reducing costs, maximising your return on investment, making tweaks to the way your business operates, and ultimately achieving sustainable business growth.”

When TreyBridge first opened in 2017, Aaron was joined by just a single member of staff. Fast forward to today and the team is composed of twenty specialists, which has allowed the company to work with more and more business owners based everywhere from Yorkshire and Manchester to London and Wales.

“We started off in a small portable building in Riplingham but soon outgrew it,” says Aaron. “I decided to move us into The Bloc on the outskirts of Hull, which is owned and managed by the fantastic Allenby Commercial. Their team have been incredibly supportive from day one, which even saw the extension of our office into an empty unit next door. This added an extra 50% of space for our constantly expanding team.”

Aaron first started working in accounts and finance in 2002, back when he lived in Dublin. He then moved to East Yorkshire with his family in 2015, which was swiftly followed by TreyBridge growing exponentially:

“I’d tried loads of different jobs from a very early age, from the boarding of animals, to washing cars and carrying out mechanical work on diggers. At the age of sixteen I went into credit control and realised I enjoyed the sector very much.

“I then began to enhance my skills and studied for a CIMA qualification, which allowed me to extend my services and deliver them for a health and safety equipment company. Before I knew it I’d gained my ACCA and launched TreyBridge Accountants!”

The last 18 months in particular have been extremely busy for TreyBridge. The company had 68 clients at the end of 2019 and as of June 2021 this figure has almost quadrupled to 259, which includes limited companies, partnerships, sole traders, entrepreneurs and trusts based all around the UK.

“The future’s looking very bright for TreyBridge Accountants,” adds Aaron. “We’re currently focusing even more on helping businesses to outsource accountancy, payroll, tax management, credit control and cash flow management, plus it won’t be long before we take on another apprentice to show them the ropes.”

The team at TreyBridge Accountants would like to thank all of its clients, collaborators, suppliers and connections for helping to make this milestone possible.
