Pop star Jay McGuiness is appearing in the edge-of-your-seat, supernatural thriller 2:22 – A Ghost Story at Hull New Theatre next year.
The boy-band singer from The Wanted also danced the night away on Strictly Come Dancing and starred in BIG! The Musical and Rip It Up in theatres across the country. Visitors to Hull New Theatre will find ghostly goings-on at the venue from 14-18 May 2024.
Jay is joined on stage by Emmerdale and Silent Witness actress Fiona Wade, George Rainsford from Call the Midwife and Casualty, and Vera Chok who starred in Hollyoaks and Cobra.
The story follows Jenny, who believes her new home is haunted, but her husband Sam isn’t having any of it. They argue with their first dinner guests, old friend Lauren and new partner Ben.
Can the dead really walk again? Belief and scepticism clash, but something feels strange and frightening, and that something is getting closer, so they’re going to stay up… until 2:22… and then they’ll know.
This brilliantly funny and adrenaline-filled night is where secrets emerge, and ghosts may or may not appear.
