Yorkshire Wolds brewery introduces winter bar nights

The team at an East Yorkshire brewery has organised a series of bar nights in the run-up to Christmas.

The events at Wold Newton based Wold Top Brewery include a live music and podcast recording featuring famous roots musician Boss Caine, a Christmas quiz, a Friends Round Friday event and a games night.

“Hosted in our cosy brewery tap room, these events have been designed to bring people together for informal, inexpensive gatherings before we all get busy with Christmas,” said Sam Smith who has organised the events.

The lineup of events includes Friends Round Friday on Friday 15 November (£5), Boss Caine on Saturday 16 November (£10), Games Night on Sunday 8 December (£5) and Christmas Quiz Night on Sunday 22 December (£7). All tickets include a free drink on arrival and are available online at www.woldtopbrewery.co.uk/collections/eventsor by calling 01723 892222.

The bar nights are the final events in the brewery’s 2024 programme, which have included charity music events, beer festivals, an evening of art, a 10k run, a cycling sportive and the return of a Shakespeare touring company.

Wold Top was founded in 2003 and is located on the Mellor family farm at Hunmanby Grange near Filey. The team use home-grown barley and water from the farm’s borehole to produce a range of award-winning cask, keg and bottled beers that are available throughout Yorkshire and nationwide.
