Local hospice relocates charity shop on Hessle Road and launches ‘Bridal’ by Dove House

The fantastic new charity shop is located where Dove House’s old At Home shop was on Hessle Road and will be home to womenswear, menswear, and childrenswear.

Being spread over two floors means this is their biggest traditional charity shop. But, most excitingly, it’s the new home to Bridal by Dove House, the hospice’s fabulous selection of preloved wedding dresses and accessories.

The new shop opened on Monday 17 July and is open Monday to Saturday from 9am to 5pm and Sundays from 10am to 4pm.

With more stock on offer and plenty of bargains, the shop move caused lots of excitement on opening day, with queues of customers waiting to grab themselves a good deal.

Janine Drury, Retail Area Manager at Dove House Hospice, had this to say: “We were humbled to see so many from our community come and support us on our first day. The money we raise makes such a difference to the hospice and those who need Dove House’s care.

“We are excited that we have brought Bridal by Dove House to a central location in Hull and we think it complements our Hessle Road shop really well.”

Both Hessle Road stores are also looking for volunteers.
