The stars of Hull New Theatre’s swashbuckling Christmas tale, The Pantomime Adventures of Peter Pan, are preparing to drop anchor at the Hull Maritime Summer Festival for a special event on Saturday 29th August from 2pm – 3pm.

Leading the crew is Strictly Come Dancing star and Dancing On Ice finalist Brendan Cole, as the dastardly Captain Hook. Joining him are much-loved CBeebies and theatre favourite Jennie Dale as the magical Mermaid, award-winning comedian Phil Walker as the lovable Smee, and panto favourite Jack Land Noble, returning for a fifth festive season as the fabulous Mrs Smee. Festival-goers will also get their first look at Peter Pan, Wendy and Tinkerbell, who will be helping to bring a little Neverland magic to the Queen Victoria Square.
As the city celebrates a landmark year for Hull’s maritime project with the completion of the Maritime Museum and a host of regeneration projects shining a spotlight on its proud seafaring story, Hull Theatres are thrilled to be joining the festivities.
Hull Theatres & Halls Manager, Claire Elsdon said: “We’re delighted to be joining the Hull Maritime Summer Festival during what is such an exciting year for our city. Hull has always been a place built on stories, from voyages across the world to tales passed down through generations, and we’re proud to play our part in that tradition through live theatre. The Pantomime Adventures of Peter Pan is the perfect fit for the celebrations; a timeless adventure filled with pirates, magic and imagination. We can’t wait to meet audiences, introduce this fantastic cast and invite everyone aboard for a magical voyage to Neverland.”
Fancy dress is optional, with budding pirates, mermaids, lost boys and fairies invited to don their finest seafaring style with prizes for the best-dressed sailors and scallywags. So, polish your hooks, fluff your fairy wings and prepare to walk the plank in style as you chart a course for the Hull Maritime Summer Festival this Bank Holiday weekend.
The Pantomime Adventures of Peter Pan is at Hull New Theatre from 10 – 31 December. Tickets on sale now. Book at the Hull City Hall Box Office, call 01482 300 306 or visit www.hulltheatres.co.uk
